RenewCap UK · Strategy & social content

Explaining clean-energy finance through the reality of supporting home.

RenewCap UK needed to reach UK-based African diaspora audiences with a proposition that combines finance, trusted delivery and clean-energy projects across Africa. Kydos translated that into a four-week social content system built around identity, education and trust.

RenewCap UK
The brief

Make a complex offer immediately understandable.

The audience needed to understand why financing clean energy back home could be different from simply sending money to a supplier or family member.

Kydos role

Positioning, content pillars, hooks, copy and creative direction.

We developed the monthly plan, wrote platform-ready content and turned the strategy into clear instructions for the creative team.

01 · Positioning

Start with the life the audience already recognises.

Rather than lead with technical solar terminology, the content starts with familiar diaspora realities: supporting family, sending money home, dealing with unreliable power and wanting greater accountability for larger investments.

Identity-led hooks

Examples included "If you support family back home, read this" and comparisons between familiar UK finance products and the difficulty of financing clean energy abroad.

Trust-led explanation

The messaging repeatedly returned to UK accountability, verified delivery, finance access and reducing the uncertainty of unstructured cash transfers.

02 · Content pillars

Four jobs for the content to perform.

The calendar was structured so every post had a role instead of simply filling a publishing slot.

Brand & purpose

Explain what RenewCap is building and why the model exists.

Education

Help the audience understand solar finance, project process and the problems the model is intended to solve.

Trust & transparency

Address accountability, proof and the difference between structured finance and informal transfers.

Family & community impact

Connect reliable energy to comfort, study, business continuity and long-term support for family or assets back home.

03 · Creative execution

Production-ready without requiring constant client filming.

The revised creative calendar included reels, single-image posts and carousels with exact on-screen copy, visual direction, captions, calls to action and hashtags. Revised reels were deliberately designed around b-roll rather than depending on the client filming new talking-head footage.

The strategy became much stronger when the proposition was expressed through diaspora experience first, and product mechanics second.
